Stones & Gravels

CRACKED GRAVEL - Texture is MEDIUM - Generally between 12 - 18mm in size, cracked gravel is a very popular feature for any garden and a nice alternative to mulch or woodchips. Being split/cracked it tends to be a little more stable on slight inclines as opposed to standard pea gravels that can roll away. The fact that it only requires a once off installation, a thinner layer for coverage, and only occasional top ups to freshen the look up, it is a winner for a lot of people including ourselves. We suggest a layer of weed mat underneath to avoid continual sinking into the soil below.

CRACKER/BLUE METAL DUST - Cracker Dust is generally used under fake lawns, paving and shade houses as it compacts down well and is easy to walk on and level. If you require a base for paths, parking or frequent traffic then we suggest road base(blue/grey) or road gravel(orange/terracotta) as they both compact hard and hold up better.

10MM BLUE METAL - 10mm Blue Metal is used for concrete mixes, drainage, walkways, paths & garden features. A multi use product that rarely goes to waste.

20MM BLUE METAL - 20mm Blue Metal is used for concrete mixes, drainage, walkways, paths & garden features.  A multi use product that rarely goes to waste.

20MM RAINBOW STONE - Rainbow Stone is a naturally coloured crushed & screened quartz rock commonly used for feature gardens or paths to add contrast to mulches, woodchips and lawns. Looks great when wet and is a popular product for those with small gardens or little space. We suggest weed mat underneath to avoid sinking into the soil below.

ROAD BASE - Road base (crushed blue metal) is used for paths, parking areas, hardstands and as a base for fake grass where vehicles will be parked to avoid sinking such as verges. You can also mix it with leftover sand and cement to make basic concrete for posts etc.
